When you are ready or interested in trying a vegetarian lifestyle.
Vegetarianism may not be the choice of everyone at this time, but many people as they are contemplating a more green and natural lifestyle begin to think about making this change, but aren't really sure how to begin.
Not only is a vegetarian lifestyle great for the animals, birds and sea life which are sparred, but it is great for the environment and our health. Vegetarianism helps us with weight loss by eating less fat, and not partaking of the growth hormones injected into animals and absorbed into their flesh, less fat lowers cholesterol and heart disease. When we no longer eat animals they are not forced into situations in which they would suffer and there is less of a need to use fuel and resources to feed them in mass numbers.
This link offers some great suggestions on how to begin and links for more information.

MY FAVORITE CHARITY
DELTA Rescue is there for animals when no one else is. They help in all catastrophes to save pets, and rescue abandoned and abused animals and give them a home for life so that animals in shelters who might be killed have a chance to be adopted. BRAVO!!

FTC - GREEN GUIDELINES
An article by Eileen AJ Connelly via the Associated Press was published in the Monterey Herald regarding new FTC green guidelines. According to the article in order to clear up confusion for consumers about what it means to be Green, they are revising the guidelines for eco-friendly products. The new version was released on October 6, 2010 with recommendations for when the words"degradable" and "carbon offset" are used in advertising and packaging and warnings about using certifications and seals of approval that send misleading messages. The last update had been issued in 1998 and didn't address environmental claims being used today such as 'renewable energy and resources'. The new update states companies should provide specifics about the materials and energy used in manufacturing, to make sure consumers arefnot confused. They are not to use broad terms that can be misleading such as envrionmentally friendly. It further states that certifications and seals of approval are to have specific lists of criteria for the use of such terms.
